Buyers Shortlist Before They Ever Book a Viewing
A Matterport tour lets a buyer walk the whole property at 11pm from another island, and arrive at the open home already knowing the layout. Out-of-town and overseas buyers can shortlist without flying in.

A Dated Record of Exactly How the Property Was
Scan at the start of a tenancy and you have a complete, dated record of the condition of every room. When there is a dispute at the end, you are comparing against the property itself rather than a folder of photographs that never quite covers the right wall.
The same scan works for remote inspections, insurance records and handovers between managers.

Measure Once, From the Real Building
Scan before demolition and you keep the existing building as a measurable model. Trades can quote from it, and you can check a dimension months later without arranging access.
Scanning mid-build captures services in the walls before they are lined, which is worth having the first time somebody needs to know where a pipe runs.

Matterport Pro2, Run by the People Who Design From It
We are not a scanning bureau that drops off a link. Blacktan is a renovation design studio, and we scan because our own drawings depend on the model being right. That is a different standard of care than scanning as a side business.
The Matterport Pro2 system measures to within about 1%, the manufacturer’s rated accuracy, so the model is good enough to design and quote from rather than just look at.

Book a scan
Tell us the property, the floor area and roughly when you need it. We confirm a time and what it will cost before we come out.

We scan on site
The Matterport Pro2 camera is moved through the property on a tripod, capturing each room. Most homes take one to two hours. The space needs to be tidy and lit, and we work around you.

You get a link
The processed tour comes back as a link you can share, embed in a listing, or hand to a client. We will tell you the turnaround when we book.

What does a scan cost?
It depends on floor area and how many levels there are. Tell us the property and we will give you a fixed price before we book anything.
How long does scanning take on site?
Most homes take one to two hours. Larger or more complex buildings take longer. We will give you a realistic window when you book.
How accurate are the measurements?
The Matterport Pro2 system measures to within about 1%, which is the manufacturer’s rated accuracy. That is accurate enough to design and quote from, and it is why we scan every renovation we design.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Tidy the space and open it up. Anything you would not want in a listing photo should be put away, because the scan captures the room as it is. Blinds open and lights on gives the best result.
Who owns the tour, and how long does it stay up?
The tour is hosted for you and shared by link. Talk to us about how long you need it live and we will sort the hosting arrangement as part of the quote.
